Eremo di San Michele a Foce

The high scenic value is the characterizing element of the deep incision of the gorge of S. Michele a Foce, this cuts across the carbonate ridge of M. Castelnuovo - M. S. Michele, oriented about NNO-SSE. From the village of Castel San Vincenzo starts a path that develops halfway up the mountainside along its wall and from here you can reach the Hermitage. Along the path you can admire the waterfalls formed by the watercourse in correspondence of small rock jumps and several karst cavities, the largest of these cavities houses the hermitage of San Michele Arcangelo.
