Filignano is one of the municipalities of Molise which are part of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. A territory that varies in altitude from 460 m above sea level of the Conca di Filignano, up to the first spurs of Monte Marrone 1805 m.s.l.m. Between the gorge of the Rio Chiaro and the scenery of the Mainarde, there is a varied and lush vegetation that in the spring months are colored with an intense green dotted with flowers.

Faeto is a small village in the Monti Dauni of about 600 inhabitants. It constitutes, together with Celle San Vito, the only Franco-Provençal minority in southern Italy.
