Lake Lesina is an inland brackish water body parallel to the coast, tal lagoon of coastal origin located on the north of the Gargano promontory. It is the second largest lake in southern Italy.

The Misteri Museum, inaugurated on October 07, 2006, is an indispensable reality to give dignity to Paolo Saverio di Zinno's ingenuity and to the "Ingegni" he conceived and realized in the middle of the XVIII century, that on Corpus Domini day.

The name comes from the word "pipe", because on the lower course the riverbed resembles a pipe. The area of the river is a natural link between the National Park "Skadar Lake" (lower part) and the National Park "Prokletije" (source part). Its basin occupies 130 km² in the geographical area between the Prokletije Mountain massif and the Zeta plain.
