Torre di Montecorvino

The Montecorvino Tower is what remains of an ancient medieval settlement, known as Sedile Diavolo (Devil's Seat or Devil's Chair) because of its peculiar shape.

The ancient tower of Motta Montecorvino appears as a somewhat surreal ruin in the wilderness, eroded by time and shaped like an imposing seat.

For this reason, it is called the Devil's Seat (or Chair), the last surviving ruin of the ancient medieval village of Motta Montecorvino, which in 1137 was reduced to rubble by Roger II of Altavilla.
