After the fall of Zabljak, in 1478, Ivan Crnojevic stayed in Italy where he visited the famous Church of the Mother of God in Loreto. Then he vowed to the miraculous icon of the Mother of God from Loreto that, in her glory, if he returned to his homeland happily, he would build a temple. Ivan Crnojevic fulfilled his vow.
