Pogradec fortress is a ruined castle in Pogradec, eastern Albania. At its highest point, it stands 205 metres (673 ft) above Lake Ohrid. Located on a hill, over-looking Pogradec town, the fortress was inhabited as early as the 5th century BC, and it continued to be inhabited until the 10th century, when its inhabitants went down the hill to settle here are few things to see in the fortress today and activities to do, walk closer to Lake Ohrid, which the Romans called Lychinidus – The Lake of Light. Outdoors and look at the lake from a high point.
