The bay of Dafina together with its beach lies in the west of the peninsula of Karaburun. It has a rocky coast with abysses and caves. It has a great depth with underwater cliffs. The bay has a good protection from the inland wind, but the prevailing wind from the sea makes furious waves that break on the shore resulting in the formation of limestone structures.
The bay has a small gravel beach and semi-submerged shallow sea cave. A rocking owl is recommended. The beach is safe for camping, yet it is not recommended when the wind is strong. Since the area is isolated campers must take food, water, and other supplies. Dafina name is related to the engravings that people made in rocks during centuries.
