This incredible portion of the territory is part of a protected natural area of about 1,100 hectares called "Regional Nature Reserves of the Eastern Tarantino Coast".
It is a natural treasure chest surrounded by the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, among the shadows of majestic oaks, vast swamps and high dunes where nature beats its rhythms to the beat of the wings of pink flamingos, of the Black-winged stilt birds and the slow swim of the marsh turtles.
This huge natural heritage, which winds from the coast towards the hinterland, is divided between the Cuturi and Rosamarina woods, the Salina Monaci, the Palude del Conte and the mouth of the Chidro River.
