Piazza Salandra has always been the beating heart of the city of Nardò, the centre of religious and administrative life since its very beginnings.
Originally known as “Piazza delle Legne”, then “Piazza del Municipio”, Piazza Salandra now houses the Sedile, the Church of Saint Tryphon, the Immacolata Spire, the old University building, as well as city associations and clubs, bars and craft shops.
Apart from a meeting place for young people and visitors, Piazza Salandra is also a charming stage for concerts, food and wine events, traditional celebrations and much more.
