The Bridge of Zogu is one of the most special for its architectural structure. The style of the arches give it museum value. It is located on the right of the road that leads to Mirdita, at both ends of the Mat river, since 1927. Called the Bird Bridge for many years, the King Zog himself was the creator of the construction of this multifunctional bridge, especially for the time. In those years, it was a necessary gate to enter upper Albania, which includes Shkodra, Lezha, Mirdita, Tropoja, Kukës, Puka, etc. The bridge was designed by an Italian engineer Martini and almost all the material base was brought by the Italians. The implementation of the project was done by an Albanian engineer, Gjovalin Gjadri, who designed the Milot-Burrel highway, which passes from the meadow of Turku through Mirdita. According to the press of the time, the bridge was built within a year and was notable for its grandeur.
