French Military Cemetery, is located near Rinia Park in Korca city. A large cemetery in the memory of 640 soldiers who died during the conflicts of First World War. During the ensuing war, the French brought all their fallen soldiers to the Balkan Peninsula for eternal rest in the suburbs of Korça. Not all of the soldiers were of French Nationality, since France mobilized soldiers from its colonies during the war. Consequently, in these graves are resting soldiers of French, Italian, Moroccan, Algerian, Korean and even Vietnamese nationality.
