The remains of the ancient city of Dioclea are located on a flat plateau formed between the rivers Moraca and Zeta and the stream Siralija. It was named after the Illyrian tribe Dokleati and mentioned in written sources relatively late, for the first time by Ptolemy under the name Doklea.
