Today's building was completed in 1616., although there is a mention of an older church on the same site from 1564. The church is single-nave with a square apse that has a barrel vault. The nave has a wooden ceiling that was once decorated with paintings. The building is built of very nicely worked stone from Korcula. It has two richly profiled portals decorated with details of the late Renaissance. The large rosette on the west facade is in the same style. A plaque with an inscription in the vernacular is installed next to the door, which evokes the victory of Perast over the Turks in 1654.
