Shengjin is a coastal town and a former municipality in Lezhe. Lezha as a city, has thousands of years of history that has provided this beach city with a unique Mediterranean culture. Shëngjin is a growing tourist destination, well known for its beaches and resort accommodations. Its name is connected to the Forest of the Fairies (Pylli i Zanave), which is located between Shëngjin and Velipoja. The beach here has a particular charm and exclusivity that’s difficult to find anywhere else in the region. Surrounded by gentle pine forests, and with a backdrop of picturesque hills, the beach is located near the national road, so it is easily accessible by car. Rana e hedhun is one of the beaches in Shengjin, it is located 70 km north of Tirana. The beach has a large sand dune, which runs down the mountain into the sea and it is a grat location for a picnic. There are some ships named Andasse Ship (sunk in World war 1); WII Austro-Hungarian Ship (sunk in World War I) and Antifi Ship that is a A Greek ship, sunk in World War I; that can be found in bay of Shengjin.
