Palazzo Roberti Alberotanza

Palazzo Roberti Alberotanza was built in the 18th century and is today a wonderful example of Neapolitan Baroque art in Puglia, in the heart of Mola di Bari.

Palazzo Roberti Alberotanza stands in the centre of Mola di Bari, in the large Piazza XX Settembre. It is also known as the 'Palazzo delle Cento camere' (One Hundred-Room Palace) due to its numerous rooms, as it originally consisted of forty-eight rooms, a very large number at the time (hence the hyperbole in its name), distributed between the main floor and the second floor.

The palace is a remarkable architectural example of Neapolitan Baroque in Puglia, its original configuration was an 'island palace', which enabled it to dominate the heart of Mola.
