Minervino Murge is a small village in Alta Murgia in a very special location in terms of landscape, hence the nickname “Balcony of Puglia”.
Its most ancient part has been historically known as “Scesciola”, meaning maze, in Arabic, because it comprises a maze of entangled roads with a typical series of tuff arches, stairs, small squares and steep flights, with the typical houses with white-washed walls holding onto the slopes of the hill.
