Buneci is a small ex-military occupied zone which lies between the village of Piqeras and Lukova. Located on both sides of the stream of Lapardha, Beach of Buneci has the form of an arch with 1400-1500 m length and with 30-40 m width. In the central part 100 m, is reached the maximal width. It is a clean beach and well-protected by the winds. Being an ex-military cone it is full of military bunkers built during the communist regime waiting for the unknown enemy. The peculiarity of the village is the Kubova rock that accompanies it within interruption from the northern side to the neighbourhood Shkalle of Borsh, about 50-70 m high. Several constructions are noted during the shores of the beach including bunkers, and relics of the communism. The sea climate and the aroma of the mountain are a healthy environment, adding to the rich food of the fruit and vegetable produce of the kindergartens of the area, the olive oil, the seafood that descend from the fishermen’s boats.
