The building housed the British embassy at the beginning of the 20th century. It was designed as a rectangular building of small dimensions in the form of a "cottage" style characteristic for English summer houses. he building had various purposes, it also housed the residence of the Prime Minister of Montenegro, the Club of Cultural and Public Workers, and the City Library "Njegos". Today it is used by the Academy of Music.
