The oldest sacral building on the Cetinje field is the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God, known as the Vlach Church. Excerpts from the founding charter of the Cetinje monastery of Lord Ivan Crnojevic testify that the oldest Christian church in the Cetinje field certainly existed in the 15th century.
