It was built in honor of St. Jovan Vladimir, the first saint of Duklja and protector of the Town of Bar.
There are three basic signs of his thousand-year spiritual presence in this area: the remains of the monastery of the Krajina’s Pure Mother of God, where the relics of the Holy King were located until 1215, the Cross of St. John Vladimir and the Legend of Vladimir and Kosara.
