The Typewriter Museum in Trani, in Piazza Duomo, recounts one hundred and fifty years of the history of mechanical writing systems in a vast collection of typewriter models that bear witness to the socio-cultural evolution of the last two centuries.
The Museum is part of the Trani Museum District, and exhibits around 400 objects from all over the world. It is one of the most important typewriter collections in the world.
The exhibitions are divided into several rooms, by periods, with testimonies of great historical, but also social value, such as the first portable, the first electric, machines for the blind and machines used in wartime.
