The Nature Reserve runs along the course of two ravines: the Pianelle ravine – completely covered by holm oak and Mediterranean scrub – and the Vuolo ravine – characterized by strawberry and Macedonian oak woods. At the bottom of the ravines and lame(shallow erosive furrows) of the Reserve, the phenomenon of thermal inversion also occurs.
