Golf Club Varvarusa a Filignano

Filignano is one of the municipalities of Molise which are part of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
A territory that varies in altitude from 460 m above sea level of the Conca di Filignano, up to the first spurs of Monte Marrone 1805 m.s.l.m. Between the gorge of the Rio Chiaro and the scenery of the Mainarde, there is a varied and lush vegetation that in the spring months are colored with an intense green dotted with flowers. In the autumn months it is colored by the red of the sycamore and cherry trees, the yellow of the field maples, and the purple of the wild pear trees. In one of the three valleys present in Filiganano, "Valley of the Roses" (its name is given by the numerous wild rose plants scattered in the surrounding area) is the Varvarusa Golf Club.
This sports facility was founded in 1998 on the initiative of some citizens of Filignano emigrated to Scotland, who wanted to bring back to their territory of origin the passion for this sport. The field has been progressively enlarged until arriving at the current configuration, a 9-hole course that is anything but easy.
