The Co-Cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven is a superb example of Apulian Romanesque style, in which the canonical elements of the medieval architectural tradition blend with oriental suggestions.
Founded in the late 10th century, it is adorned with a splendid rose window, one of the most beautiful in Puglia, which makes the Cathedral the most admirable example of Romanesque architecture in Capitanata, precisely because of its harmonious construction.
